Elevated Missionary Baptist Church was organized in 1879. The church was organized in the home of Ed Grainger on the corner of Hale street and Kentucky street. After the organization, the late Thomas H. Mack was elected pastor. The services were held in various homes until a place of worship was established on Jefferson street. Due to the growth in membership, the present site was purchased and the structure was constructed in the year of our Lord and savior 1910. Reverend Mack was the pastor for 52 years.
Greetings to you all my brothers and sisters, and to the members and friends of the Elevated Missionary Baptist Church, Franklin, KY.
I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the short time that I have served as the pastor of Elevated Missionary Baptist church, I truly consider it an honor that you have allowed God to move, even in the midst of this pandemic. In the face of a pandemic, we have found that churches have had to mobilize to meet both the physical and emotional needs of our congregations.
Who would have ever imagined that we would be having online worship services, paying our tithes and offerings via online giving, and not have the ability to shake hands and hug as we so often have done in the past? But please know this: God has a plan, hang in there, keep the faith and know this too shall pass.
May God truly bless you is my prayer.
Our mission is to become a community of Transformers engage in the work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; because we have accepted the mandate of our calling. Romans 12:2- "And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the reviewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God"
WE ARE TRANSFORMERS!!!
